Who we are

Crayont is an independent design-engineering studio based in India. "We" means Crayont and, on a given project, the specialists named for it. Legal name and address: [Founder to add]. Contact: [email protected].

The short version

• We only collect what you send us, and we use it to reply to you.
• No advertising trackers, no selling or renting of data, no marketing lists you didn't join.
• You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data at any time.

What we collect

• The project form. Your name, email, company (optional), the services, budget and timeline you pick, your message and any links you add. We use it to reply, to discuss the project and to prepare a proposal.
• The Labs waitlist. Your email address, only if you join, to tell you when a product launches. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• Emails you send us, and the replies, as normal business correspondence.
• Technical logs. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser and the page requested) to deliver the site and keep it secure. [verify retention period]

The performance numbers some pages show (load time, layout shift, frame rate) are measured in your browser and are not sent to us.

Cookies and local storage

We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The site stores a few small preferences in your browser, for example whether you've already seen the intro animation in this session. They never leave your device, and clearing your browser data removes them.

Who processes data for us

• Vercel hosts the website and runs the form endpoints.
• Resend delivers form submissions to our inbox and manages the Labs waitlist.
• Our email provider stores the conversation: [Founder to add, e.g. Google Workspace].

These providers may process data outside India, including in the United States. We choose providers that protect data with contractual safeguards. [verify]

Links to other services

The "Ask AI" links open ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and similar assistants with a question about the studio. We don't add any information about you to those links. Once you're on another site, its own privacy policy applies. The same goes for our Google Business Profile.

How long we keep it

Project enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to reply and for our business records: [Founder to set, e.g. 24 months] after the last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or we become clients and a contract says otherwise. Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or the product launches.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent, under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where they apply to you, laws such as the EU or UK GDPR. Email [email protected]; we'll act on it within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
